Support
This page is the fastest way to troubleshoot unexpected output, confirm the right calculator for your load case, and check a result before using it in a wider design process.
Common Checks Before You Rerun
- Confirm the correct support condition first. A cantilever, a simple span, and a fixed or continuous beam can produce very different reactions and deflection levels even with the same span and load.
- Check the unit system and stiffness inputs before changing the member size. Incorrect modulus, inertia, or load units are the most common source of unrealistic output.
- When a result looks too large or too small, compare it against the formulas page, the unit converter, and the L/360 helper before moving into a more advanced load case.
