Assumptions & Limits
- Preset values speed up the setup but do not replace final section or material verification.
- The page is designed pour fast fleche et reaction checks.
- Local code rules, long-term effects, et connection details still need separate revue.
Reference Basis
- Documentation: Methodology
- Documentation: Engineering Review
- Roark's Formulas for Stress and Strain

304 Stainless Reference
| Alloy | Stainless steel 304 |
| Module d'elasticite E | 193 GPa |
| Typical 0.2% proof stress | 215 MPa |
| Typical density | 8000 kg/m^3 |
| Preset appui case | Simply supported beam |
| Preset loading | Uniform load |
| Preset section rigidite I | 2100 cm^4 |
Notes techniques
- Stainless acier 304 is often selected pour corrosion resistance et architectural exposure rather than minimum structural mass.
- Its elastic modulus is slightly below carbon acier, so visible fleche can still govern in slender members.
- If the profile is already known, replace the default rigidite avec the exact section inertia before using the resultat.
